Well got loaded up with cod hunting bait last night in search for a few lunkers, started the night of at Lyneburn about 6.00pm, not a sole about, fished from the pipe area for about 3 hours in conditions that were in a word Unfishable ! wind was howling straight off the sea, took all our efforts just to hold the rods, nothing doing so we set off looking for somewhere with a bit shelter from the wind, headed to blyth beach, the car park was full, had a quick scout but the conditions were the same as lynemouth ! so back to plan B , Drove along the coast & ended up at the fish quay, fished behind the old icehouse, nothing to show for our attempts to catch anything, could not beleave how snaggy the tyne is - where we were fishing, all baits used & not a touch - weather conditions & poor results got the better of us, packed up at 11.30pm & headed home to Ashington, next time !!!
