Just returned from fishing lynemouth, what a night action all the way, first 3 chucks, codling a chuck, max 2lb, lost 3 very good fish, missed the takes, nearly pulled my apollo out the rod rest, adreneline was pumping, a few choice words !! Fis
hed from 7pm until 12.15, only 3 others fishing tonight, all into codling, ran out of bait or I would still be there, on another plus side learned to use my slosh ! Being a lefty always stuck with my abu 7001, that is now retired as a back up, Roll on the winter !
final score for me tonight, 5 codling - 2 coalies & a excellent night.

Only thing that puts me off is the hike to the beach from the car park, 15 min walk with all your gear.....my fishing pal has a dodgy foot.
Unless someone knows a shorter route, car park.

hi m8 yes if you drive into lynemouth its self and head down the coast road you'l come over a little bridge just after that there is a little layby go straight over the top there it takes 2 minuites m8 a lot closer to the car and dont worry about your car it will be fine fished here for years all hours with no problem as others will probably tell you hope this helps.

Cheers Davey was going to post asking for directions but you've already done it. I guess from Gundog's report this is an ebb tide venue? Looks like a clean beach shot from Google maps - any advice for someone who's never fished there before?

im going there tomorow night and well done on your catch its a shame thas nowt decent kicking around and wereabouts u been fishing along the beach because i only fish the hospital hole that is onm the right hand side of alcan ive only fished the right hand side a couple of time but thaught it was batch and its a longer walk from newbiggin haha

Went down for 9pm tonight, sea was flat , nothing doing, stayed till just after 12, with only 2 coalies for my effort, lollipop was also down there with a couple of his mates, he wasn't having much luck when I left, Next Time !

Early days yet but from the forecast it looks like the sea will be away from Saturday night with south easterlies building to F5 - F6 by Tuesday night. Back to work next week heres hoping the winds keep the sea up for most of the week then it's big tides next weekend
