Macky Bashing

Is there anywhere on the North side of the Tyne I could try? other than Tynemouth & Blyth piers.

I was wondering if it would be worth trying from the rocks at Cullercoats at low water?

Cheers Gavin,

I didn\'t wanna travel too far, so I take it I\'d be wasting my time at cullercoats? Whitley pipe sounds canny does it get busy?

Many moons ago i used to fish from Cullercoats pier for mackerel at high water. Hard to do these days with the number of craft making a nuisance of themselves (jet skiers etc) North Crab Hill (low water) and Rocky island can also produce mackerel, big tides needed.
