macky

I was really hoping to start the season off yesterday (cr*p on piers, charvas on bmxs casting 6oz leads with 6ft spinning rods - dead fish lying around etc etc)

but (un)fortunately I can say that the mackerel are not close in enough yet - we stopped outside both the North and South Piers yesterday and also near to Blyth - no macky inshore yet:exclam:

Weather to unsettled and water to dirty, large clouds of sand being washed in every high tide at shields, going to be at least 4-5 days of settled west weather before worth trying from Shields.

Blyth had reports of a few and a lad i know caught a few from Seaham last week.

None to be seen on south shields pier, was there most of today, and after losing my 6th or 7th set of gear had a go with the daylights for a half hour and nothing!
Shouldnt be too long tho?

does anybody know if theres any macky getting caught on blyth pier south shields pier or any other marks cheers

Shouldn't be long now, these big tides might push them in but there could be a lot of colour in the water off the rain.:)
