Hello guys. Wife would not let me take camera as knacked it up on last outing.:red:
Set off today. Met Bob from the WSF forum. and another bloke on his own. With us were a group of 6-7 lads from Penine windows.
Canny bunch.
Had me sea sickness tablets at 6am. What a difference they made, not sick once.
Caught plenty of Mackearal for bait, and we set off fishing close in. Not a lot doing so we moved around different spots. I caught a small ling on my pirk and it was returned.
tried deeper water spot we did hit some cod. Best fish on the boat was a seven pounder. I caught one about 3lb ish. There was also a small ling.
All in all a good day.
I lost five pirks on rough ground.
Wreck fishing was no good.

I will probably leave the boats for a while as i have been disappointed with fish caught.

im sure if you keep on searching for that double it will come 2 you mate at least you enjoyed your self and thats all that matters

cheers mick

Glad you had a good day out Mick and resisted the temptation to start groundbaiting this time.

It has been a bit slow for us on the last few trips out of Hartlepool, especially on the wrecks.

Same happened last year after a boat out of the marina kept box netting all the wrecks for miles around.

Nice report Mick, keep on plugging away and the bigger fish will be there. Keep you eye on the tides, smaller tides are better, not as much drift therefore not so many tangles and lost pirks. The tide you fished was a 5.5 metre I prefer 4.5 metre.
Cheers davsut

Aye Mick, keep on picking away,as Alan says somtimes we all hit bad days (lol just ask wallsendo :) he witnessed me and Steve in the middle of a one ) , eventually the big uns will come . honest :)
