Sless (who is off line at the present) has asked me - any truth in the txt he got regarding a SEVENTEEN POUND COD off marsden ,last night (tues ) cheers. :P :P
 
no reports in any local shop- or on this site , i reckon the txt was a load of hogwash ,pity ,could have started a frenzy of activity off our coastline for a change. :P

Alan - after further \"digging\"amongst shields lads the craic is that someone lost a cracking fish , off the beach on sunday , did your info come from the same rumour mill as mine/slesses i wonder or did you actually see the fish, only the lads in I D said the damn thing got bigger with every other customer(the one that was lost) not the one you reported on.lol :P :P :P
 
I GOT TOLD TODAY BY A RELIABLISH SORCE [ I THINK ] THAT THERE WAS A BIG FISH LOST OF S SHIELDS PIER ON TUESDAY NIGHT ABOUT 20 LBS ISH LOST AS THEY TRIED TO GO DOWN THE STAIRS AT THE END SUPPOSEDLY THE SWELL TOOK IT AWAY AS THEY WERE GONNA LIFT IT ,,,WETHER ITS TRUE OR NOT I CANT SAY ,,,IF IT IS I WOULD FEEL VERY GUTTED FOR THAT PERSON ....ME MATE LOST A VERY GOOD ONE ON MONDAY NIGHT FISHING THE CLEADON COMP SO THINGS ARE BEGING TO LOOK UP FOR THEM BIGGUNS ,,,GOOD LUCK EVERY 1 ..TIGHT LINES AND TIGHTER TRACES :P
 
VERY tempting to retrieve a big fish - BUT to go down the ladders/or even the steps when there is a swell on - not my cup of tea- not worth a sh*te Christmas and new year . ;)
 
17-8-0 cod verified, there are pics i believe. There was a big fish lost on S/S pier and another on Blyth pierall around the same time with that big sea going.

aye your right fishless-we do sometimes do daft things for a fish- and any chance of lower case , i keep thinking your about to go off on one when i see your posts. LOL :P :P ;)

yes anth was starting to wonder what they looked like ;) and the wife was getting suspiciouse by the lack of fish ime still waiting for my tynemouth monster lmho i wont give up ,,,,sry bri aboot the caps but i allways log in here after ive been playing cards on the net and thats were i get my anger from lol :P
 
a lad in our club fished all night at camels island and he didnt even see another person fishing never mind a big cod
who knows
it seems a bit daft to gut a monster cod b4 weighing it though
