Anyone know why Middleton has been padlocked,there are no piers left to fish on in the town,Heugh is fenced off and dangerous(when this goes so will the money making marina)cant fish steetley or you might have your car broke into or set alight,and the old town pier was ruined when they put those big blocks round it as part of the marina (cash cow) development.
Sorry about the rant for my first post , but i am understandably a bit miffed, also someone on there recently said it would be closed down anyway because of the tall ships race (more money into corporate pockets)better go and calm down,have a glass or two of Jack.

Dan you can fish the heugh before the barrier its not to bad at all the bottom-fished there a few times.
Also the fishing is ok at Steetly. I never park my car on the site. Usually leave in the estate by Rovers rugby club-Heortness road or you can leave it at the shops at the Brus. It involves a canny walk but its not to bad.
I also am a member of Seaham club which has a couple of good spots and the pier is for the use of the club members.

i was on middleton thismorning dan...but was still padlocked up onto the outside wall and over the top of the gate i went easy enough to get onto or you could always try the piolet pier
 
confucious think pier locked because sea too rough and pier could be deemed dangerous. Confucious never seen sea so big for long long time.
