modifying rods

would it make a lot of difference .... i have heard conflicting reports about it... remove the large first eye and add a couple of rings in between the last 3 rings its ok some say
and i have heard that its to do with the spine of the rod and a total strip down..
and some say unless your a great caster the difference is minimal..
its one of those things i have always wondered about ... cant wait for the answer
cheers Paul

Yeah m8,they could do it,as to the cost of the re-build you`d be better off giving a few shops a ring see what they say.

could a tackle shop make a fixed spool rod into a multiplier rod? if so whats are the costs?
fishermans locker at southwick would rewhip it for you. the lads name is darren whos shop it is canny cheap as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what it is - the rods a sonik sk3 f/s, but im now using a multi on it, and when reeling in fish its got a bad bend and the line is rubbing on the top with it being a f/sl rod i dont know if its gonne be worth putting smaller eyes onto it, maybe i should just buy a new multiplier rod and keep this rod for the bairn to play with.?

the mark 3 sonik are only around a 100 to bye and it will cost around 60 to get the rod fully rewiped so you mite be better off treating your self to a new one m8
