Mooring In Seaham

I am really interested in mooring my boat, a 22 foot invader class sailing yacht, in Seaham, should the wonderful plans for the marina come to fruition.

Can you tell me how to register my interest and hopefully find a place on any waiting list for a berth?

get in touch with norman conn who is north dock co ordinator ,if a letter is posted to seaham angling supplies he will get it as he pops in just about every day , hope this helps .

i would strongly reccomend,that you dont put your boat in Seaham,over the last few years boats have been seriously damaged by yobs and kids,there is plans afoot to regenerate the north dock and turn it into a pontoon style marina,when this happens and security is visible,i will be having a boat in the dock,but cirtainly not untill theres decent security.

Me and my mate went out on a boat from Seaham harbour last year. Its the first time i,ve been there.There was only two boats in the harbour. These were still used for crabbing. We went out on a boat owned by a lad called Tommy. We fished in between him lifting his pots.
I could,nt believe what a lovely place the front is at Seaham and how ran down the harbour was.
If the place gets a marina (like Hartlepool did) it will totally transform the place.
I also noticed a couple of small boats being put into the harbour via the jeeps/cars pulling trailers.(this set me thinking should i get one) These boats were fishing about a mile off and we went out about four or five.
A good day out nice to hit some cod and i would like to do again this year (cheers tommy).i also got a massive crab which would just about fit in my biggest pan.

yes that would be tommy smith,and the boat is a nice whitby coble called "Lady Lydia".yes totally agree,that once the marina is built it will be a very nice place,needs good security though.
