Got a right good hammering today in the marina,F8 winds south/easterlies blowing 40knots and above.
Started just on first light then increased as it got to midday.
The snatching on the mooring lines was on overload and portside bow snubber burst off the line,then the aft snubber burst as well.
The metal spring stubber was under max compression most of the time,so proved useless really.
Just wondering if any lads know a better snubber system than these or seen anything that would do a better job,was told today a home made jobby using a 4x4 inner tube but the fella didn't know how it was attached.
