Just a quick post to let people know not to buy from this poster! I had ordered a few crab ( frozen and fresh) a while ago and wot was sent was reasonable, i placed another order 2 weeks ago spending around £60-£65 and was told on delivery date that there was a problem so id hav to wait til following week! Im still waiting now with no crab and empty wallet, no replies via email text and ebay, paypal cant dispute because payment was made as a gift! Im stupid for not putting it through paypal properly but i dont want it happening to any other lads on here!

sad to hear that mate shocking realy, all ways pay the few quid fees but id contact the police there will b a record on paypal of your payment even if u dont get your money bk a knock on his door from mr plod might stop him doing it a gain:(
 
I was in contact with him until due delivery then he put that back a week and wen it was due again surprise surprise no contact ! I paid the couple of quid fees but cos it went thru as a gift like he asked then paypal cant do anything! The buyer isnt local but a buyer on here has contacted me for details so it doesnt happen again! Ive been a bit naive but i had spent £160 previous with him but had no problem!

Its the same with a bank transfer, at the very best they could investigate for you, but i can guarantee you that will come to nothing
I dont see how you have paid the fees and sent as a gift? the seller pays the fees not the buyer, probably the reason why he asked you to send as a gift
Alarm bells should always ring if someone wants paypal gift, if someone offers me something and want paypal gift i always say, its fine i will cover the 3% they charge you and send it properly
For the sake of 3% of total cost for full insurance its a no brainer for me
I would still report the seller to ebay they are pretty stringent, thats if he still has his account open
 
Ive seen the crab for sale again! I just dont want it happening to others ! Il know not to do it again! I honestly dont know how folk can do that if u aint got nowt to sell dont sell it! He had supposedly taken business over but i think hes been talkin out his arse !!!
 
Just bid and win on all the stock he has mate.

Then leave negative feedback straight away, tell him you will remove the feedback once he's sent you what you originally ordered.

Sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers so you've no worries there.

Its essentially a bank transfer
Once you send money through paypal gift, family friends etc. paypal dont make there bit, so they wont help you out if someone robs you. why would they? there not making owt.
Its also worth being aware what on there t&cs for prohibited items
I do a lot of hunting and believe it or not any firearm, that includes sub 12ft/lb air rifles sub 6ft/lb air pistols are not covered under there blanket ban on any firearms
 
Il contact ebay to notify them theres a rogue trader! As long as nobody else gets scammed and cant trade again il be happy! Lesson learned but it boils me that he hasnt got the guts to reply!
 
ive bought stuff like that beforemate to save the seller money and he takes it off my postage ect ,works out good for both parties,ebay like a bit to much on some things for my liking ,ive never had problems with it [only cos i havent been ripped off am pleased to say]av been lucky,hes a stinking scumbag mate for doing that to you,ad name and shame him on every fishing forum me,and if i was ever in hes vacinity even a year later or so hed be getting a knock,,just put it down to a bad hoy the fffnnn tramp:mad:
 
Ive sent numerous msgs to him on ebay text and paypal and he hasnt had the guts to reply! Like i have said i dont want it happening to others!! And to br fair getting fresh crab at this time of year sounds a bit dodgy !
 
Lads What we could do, get as many who are interested in helping the lad, is gone on and all ask questions ie: I have heard negative feed back about deliveries throughout the North East, how do you garunteee I will recieve goods; or How would I reclaim my cash if you are late.

As I said earlier, Just win bid of whatever he is selling now, then leave negative feedback straight away (obviously don't send payment)

And when he emails ask him where your original order is

I have posted in the business seller forums one of the staff has picked up on it but he is not registered as a business seller

You can report him for asking for it as a gift which is against ebay policy anyway . They will have records of this no matter what they say as ebay owns paypal

You should not have had to pay any fee is it was sent as a gift
