I feel really sorry for you boat lads this year. I remember reading your posts at the beginning of the season and feeling the anticipation. I only hope there is a break in the weather and you manage a few more trips out before our turn.

I think we must be approaching that \"inbetween\" stage, Alan.....coming to the end of the boaty season, but not quite into the Winter shore season.
If things follow the usual routine, posts the Board should be dropping off soon......only to pick up again once the shore season starts properly.

Don\'t get depressed......The boating season never finishes...wrecking yes.

I\'ve got to say I love winter uptiding / anchor fishing and I\'m surprised how few boats do this type of fishing around our area. The fishing is very good...more cod to be had and certainly more consistent than wrecking.

It\'s also more relaxing...just like shore fishing but you catch fish, (I\'m a crap shore fisherman !!)

Come to think of it we were thinking of trying some long range wrecks over the winter this year for some Pollock...anybody else tried this?

Yes Gary...it\'s a hard life. 18 of us travelling by easy jet today....£24.00 return to Majorca can\'t be wrong. Also got 4* All Inclusive hotel for £22 per night per person !! An afternoon session should see me claw my money back each day !!

I was thinking of using GaryJeff Leadheads for the wreck pollock in the winter....you\'re thoughts....?

Really look forward to the uptiding....I think its as good as anywhere in the country up here when the conditions are right.

I was out on the boat today...from Amsterdam to newcastle.....and there is no way i would be going out in that sea.The big girl was being slammed from the winds and the waves so a 20-30ft boat had no chance.
