My Book

Over the last 12 months I have put together my thoughts and feelings regarding the times I have had fishing the coast between Burnmouth and Fast Castle Head. It started as a tribute to my dad who was for years a Tynemouth member and also a local angler of some repute. It has developed into an anecdotal trip down memory lane both of my trips to the Eyemouth area and of my memories of more local ground. Having written most of it (and shared it with friends I thought could help) the major stumbling block is the availability of quality photos of the area especially those that include fish. It\'s not that I don\'t have any just that the quality of some, sorry most, is poor and not up for publication. If anyone would like to contribute to the pool of photos I have I would be really grateful and would fully recognise you in any thank yous in the book. Please do not ask for a percentage of the profits as the wife has already seen to that.
You can e-mail me on [email protected] or pm me if you think thats more appropriate.
\"The book when published will I believe be of considerable benefit to all north east anglers and should be purchased in hardback (unlike the crabs you need)\"

Sorry the words out

If you\'re fishing from the gut between the red rocks and Hairy Ness then you\'re my man. Mackerel are 2 a 1d (in old speak) Send them in. Thanks Sless

Thanks Gordon. Providing the fish are red we\'re in business. Sorry Ell but the book will not be sold with a R certificate so you\'ll have to keep your haddock to yourself. Anyone else with photos gratefully received.

Would you be interested in any photos of the shore festival weigh in\'s at Eyemouth. I think a mate of mine will have a few in his archives. he used to do articles for Sea Angler back in the 70s. Also lives in Eyemouth so might be of some help.

Let me know and I can put you in touch.

Neil.

That would be really helpful Neil. My first experiences of Eyemouth were the 2 day festivals and the only decent photo of the old man is of him with the team event we won one of the years.

Sorry Gordon - missed your post. Will pm you. Thanks Sless - got your pics today. Funny place to spin, on the land side of Hairy Ness. Was it a bit lumpy on the seaward side. Caught a few weir codling close in there.

Thanks Sless. Speak to Gogs about the divers. He seems to havea soft spot for them :casstet:

Davey please cut and paste this it,ll be handy for you writng your book (and Rod the Cod caught nowt again@$\"##)

Do you mean cut and paste the thread, or have I missed something. As it stands most of the pictures are of Rod holding MY fish as he can\'t work the camera (unless you are a dwarf, when he leaves your head on) lol

Just to say thanks to those who have been able to help or who will help. One of the guys in the pub has just loaded me Adobe Photo Shop so that will help. TC did you get my e-mail ?

Sorry David, no.....no e-mail.

May be a problem at my end......both the sending and recieving of e-mails has been a bit eratic recently.

Gogs - hope you\'re still alive. Got your CD today. Will be able to include some of the photos but have been advised by my publisher not to include photos of aggresive looking chaps with no hair. How does that sit with you???
