I was gonna post the name of this group in the \"Fishy Links\" thread, but then had another thought..........

What was the very first record you bought yourself ? (time to show your age now, eh ?)

Mine was:

Catch Us If You Can:
Dave Clark 5
1965
(I was 6 at the time)

I hate to admit it but I think it was two Little boys by Rolf Harris, although if memory serves me well, it was actually bought for me, can\'t of been more than three or four at the time.

I think david Essex\'s first single was hold me close, that was my first single.First album Slade,can\'t remember the name but they were skinheads on the cover.

with a 50p record token I got for christmas - Slade, Merry Christmas Everybody, also bough a cleaning cloth and got change from me 50p token! - the year 1973!

Yeah right, another brick in the wall!!!!!, why did you wait till 1980 when you were 25 to buy your first record then Dave, we all know your not the puppy you think you are.

I can\"tremember the first single I bought but I can remember walking home from the hairdressers in1973 and having to take a single (Life on Mars) back to the shop where I bought it because it was scratched. The look on the womans face when I walked in with orange hair is something that will live with me for ever.

Was it this one, Tat?

Their 1st album - 1970

The Tweets \'The Birdie Song\'. When I was about 5 years old. Now I think it was Limp Bizkit \'Eat you Alive\'. Funny how y\' tastes change. Eh?

My first record was by Boney M title...Hooray Hooray it a Holiday (or something like that).....My uncle bought it for me on limited edition Yellow 12 inch....I was 18 months at the time...Oh how glad they are now that my music tastes have changed.....although sometimes I do wonder if death metal and punk is the right thing to be playing when my mam is in the car with me.. ;)

Remember first proper band I seen at Mayfair newcastle in 1971 was Ten Years After, then soon after saw Deep Purple playing \"In rock\" wooo hooooo those were the days :)

Ten Years after, one of the top performances at Woodstock. No I wasn\'t there! My first record unfortunately was Yellow Brick Road. Benny and the Jets still rocks though :o
