My heroes Bert and Keith

Got the call around dinner time, mackerel coming in, sadly had to leave the chores I was doing at home and head off the the fish quay, where I took delivery of a good quantity of mackerel. Also took a few photos of a ling of 18lb Bert caught and a cod of 12lb 8oz Keith caught. Cluthching my bounty I was staright off home and after filletting sat down to a good plateful of mackerel fillet cooked in oatmeal.
As well as the photos of the ling and cod i thought I might have a scoop, but Bert was to nimble footed, shame.

Nice one Alan, I thought Bert made a canny job of catching that flying Kerd as well haha!!!

Your welcome Alan ! you should have seen the faces of the local quay scroungers who turn up every sat dinner time to try to get anything going spare ! NO MACKEREL !!!!! everyone can catch mackere ....what went wrong were you in the wrong place or something ?
Even the Adonis weighed in mackerel today!
Hope you enjoyed them mate i know i`ve prommised you some for a few weeks now ,but your such a busy bloke !!l

certainly did enjoy them, yesterday lunch, dinner time, and another plateful for dinner tonight. Might have cod or ling tomorrow for a change.
