n.w casting

fair turnout despite poor weather at start. lunchtime the wind picked up ,sun came out. we had casters from wales - scotland - n.east - nottingham - leeds. nice to see some old faces back into casting. baz eased a 252 out and norman [mr angry] from darlington had a 230+ all in all very enjoyable.

It was a cracking day and the best conditions we have had all year..Despite the scattered showers.

A big well done to Josh on his new PB 271 yds....and Stevie who also hit a massive 270 yds..

hi , steve also did his best cast with the 150grm lead as apposed to the 125 and i think he also got a pb.i am not sure if xtra wieght is giving steve xtra distance or is it his technique when i watch him he does seem to wait for it everything in place he does look as if he is casting better than before now and more to come i think.i think a lot of people get xtra yds using 125 lead which is the best lead what would steve do with this or what would he do with what he likes to use best 175lead as everytime he uses it with me he puts another 10 or 15yds on. training programme he tells me this week is 20 large donar kebabs and 30 pizzas followed my 40pints of guinness watch out
