go to a good camping shop like go outdoors and buy a tent waterproof spray,i bought a 2 ltr bottle a few years ago ,did the family tent ,the gazebo and all my fishing waterproofs a few times and still have loads left

I use to use something you put in the wash with your gear, it's a waterproofer liquid, I'm sure you can get it at the royal quays mountain warehouse.

nikwax tx.direct spray on
amazon is about the cheapest £8.99 free delivery
Just spray it on, wait 2 mins then rub off any excess
Then either tumble or line dry
works a treat

Supposedly watered down PVA glue sprayed on when clothing is damp then left to dry works wonders haven't tryed this myself but I bought a spray on water proofer a while back and when opened bottle it looked milky and smelt like watered down PVA just paying for the name a thought !

Aldi have cans of waterproofing spray for £1.49, or £1.59, just had three bought last week, not sure if its any good for breathable but its decent for general waterproofing and a lot cheaper.

I sell waterproofing at work. It's called fabsil , it comes in 400ml cans and should only take 1 can to cover the whole suit. Concentrate more in the seams.

I wouldn't use anything else it's that good

Brillaint stuff, couldn't remeber name of it till seen Davids post. Have used the nicwax product but imo the Fabsil stuff is better.

Robb's in Hexham. It's 6.99 but not to me I pay retail
Thats quite steep, try Screwfix ;)

It is great stuff. Cheapest on eBay for 400ml is £5.99

You could us the liquid stuff but you'd have to wait for it to dry not sure how long it would take , whereas the spray only takes around 20-30 minutes. Like I say even if I was paying shop prices I wouldn't use anything else other than fabsil
