I'm looking for some people for next weekend who fancy going up there, the fishing is very very good at the moment at lot of different species been taken!

Canny hike up there its around an 8-9 hr drive

Good fishing though, I don't mind the drive if the fishing is going to be worth it, I could do it in under 8hours

Common skate, gurnard, wrasse, even a slight possibility of blue shark from a boat!

If anyone knows how to convert a hi8 video tape to dvd I have a video from back in 1986 when we were fishing for conger and all caught skate more or less at the same time, one after another got a fish on.... It was comical watching the video camera being passed from person to person & ended up wedged on a rock

Also if your interested a local boat would take you to isle of Lewis then taxi to taransay
Nice sandy bay with rocky gullies & deep holes & crevices
Expensive trip but like me 30 years on you'll still be thinking about it

billy dava and I were fishing neist when a huge shark came out of nowere and took his three coalys while spinning for mackerel frightened the life out of me as I was cooling my feet in the sea at the time,never know what you will catch we were there in august a few years back. davy.

Im going to have a trek up the 1st week of august...will have to take the ladys new diesel civic as mine will cost about £400+ petrol haha

Loads of deep water gullies & channels
& always good chances of seeing basking sharks

In July 2011 when i was up there a Minke whale surfaced no further then 40/50 yrds from where we were fishing, fantastic place!!!
