New Angler on the way!!

Our lass has just dropped the news that young angler number 3 is on the way! Good news all round because now:

A. I\'ll celebrate with even more cans than usual tonight
B. She\'ll not want to tag along this winter when I go fishing
C. I\'ll be able to buy some more tackle with the excuse that it\'s for the bairn!

Seriously though I\'m chuffed to bits. Our lass is hoping for a girl which is fine with me, my eldest lassie outfishes me and the lad on a regular basis which gives me the chance to take the camera along AND get some pictures of fish (and she\'s the kiddie when it comes to unhooking eels!!)

And I\'m doing my bit to swell the NESA ranks :D :D :D

nice one m8, im taking my 6 year old lad out this weekend for his first session ,light tackle etc but hopefully hell get bit by the bug ,he always shows an interest when im making rigs up ,so fingers crossed hell like it ;)

CONGRATULATIONS, to you both, Rob.
Don\'t forget to e-mail me a photo of the bairn when it arrives........for his / her avatar pic..... ;)

Hallow, Jim....nice to see you back. Hope you enjoyed ya hols.

Congrats Rob...I took my oldest for a bit of night time winter fishin last year(he\'s 7) and it lashed it down so I manufactured him a poncho out of a bin bag.
\"dad i\'m bored\"
\"is it time to go yet\"
\"can I have a turn with your 13 foot apollo and multiplier\"
I\'m hoping my youngest 2 have a bit more of an interest.

Congratulations to you and your family.
It was my little boys 1st birthday yesterday, had an excellent day,all the family came round and we had his little party in the garden, see the sun does come out sometimes,does\'nt seem like five minutes since she was screaming her head off in the hospital, bet it hurts ;)

Congrats Rob, but just think of the extra bait you will have to dig/collect until they can get there own. Anybody taking their youngsters out and they catch let me know.

congrats m8 . took my 2 youngest out last week under sunderland bridge . they are 4 and 5 years old , two flatties ,one whitie ,one coalie and one crab they were over the moon. little sods were more interested in the crab.

Cheers lads! I can see a pattern emerging here with the kids though.

My daughter (14) happily fishes all night, baits up and guts her catch herself. The son though, (8) whines on about the cold and ragworm, eats all the pies and empties the flasks.

I bought one of those beach shelters last year and now the excitement of \"camping out\" keeps him coming with us, he even managed to fall asleep in Terally Bay in his Action Man sleeping bag! ( a steep, stony beach in Luce Bay, SW Scotland)

Mind you, if you catch a crab or there\'s a rock pool full of shrimps and blennies, he\'s up and away with his little rod! I just need to nurture that hunter / gatherer instinct and a new member will be in the bag!!! ;)
