I'm erring towards even a 525 with 30lb fine braid this year...maybe?
Tony try a 535/slosh 30 and watch them all start changing as yor catch rate will go up!
Sean
So a Slosh30 is sufficient for boat, would I be better of with a 50?

The 3 reels i use on the boat are, 535 x 1 and 525 x 2, they are great for shadding and wrecking, i reckon the stick these reels get pulling in fish through kelp and snaggs off the shore, they are more than capable of pulling fish up vertically, they have high retrieve rate...but dont wind so fast when you have a fish on. When you dont have a fish on wind like hell and it flys back up to the surface for the next driftJust a personal choice but i cant see the point of huge reels to fish our waters...

I used a 525 on my first trip on the JFK and struggled, I wouldnt recommend using one on a boat
A 535 may cope a bit better but all in all they are not boat reels, BestNest fishes charter boats and excess use of a 525 on a charter boat wrecking wont last 2 minutes, In my opinion of course
