anyone know where might be worth a bash tommoro night for the odd cod. had a few off the south pier of late down seaham but nothing over 2lb. a decent swell forecast tommorro like.

Welcome to NESA matey, id still be heading for kelpy grounds, you wont go far wrong with the south pier at Seaham though, never fished it myself but loads of guys swear by it in a good sea, depends on the direction of swell though, wouldnt fancy it on a big south easterly, northerly or a north easterly would be ideal.

Too right Jamie. The green wall will be worth a shot too once it drops off a bit, even the chems.

Oh, and welcome to the site bud.

cheers all ... so whats the story on that cod at blyth? did the bloke beach it,use a net, or did he hand ball it? cod boy

My dad gave him a hand to hand ball it up. He was on rag and runny
and was only there for 2hr or so and left not long after he got it the
thing that my dad was going on about was that he was on the
same bait as the bloke and got nowt.....just his luck.

There has been a good number of cod off the pier up to now
lets see if it will last.
