Spammers Stevie, as they join I delete them. That is why everyone joining now has to be verified before they can post mate. It saves having to delete loads of rubbish from the forum. I did almost twenty today at tea time, another few waiting already.

Strange names? Take a look at some senior members, moderators and administrators. Do these names appear on your birth certificates? I think not.
and not posting anything.

2 key facets to my nom de plume which are in fact correct and true...
- I am in fact Great
- I do happen to live in Wallsend
Couple that with the inference given by my user name that I possess magical powers....this is also true - I possess the ability to catch Cod!!!
i`ve been a member for years but following a stroke two and a half years ago it`s almost impossible to to go fishing anymore. (dvla reclaimed my driving licence) i still look in on the site every day though. even though i live almost 90mls from nearest beach. so i hope that my strange name wont bother anyone ?

Sorry to hear about your health FINN, that certainly put things into context. Not getting out very often myself now, spinal surgery a year ago has left me struggling to walk or stand for any length of time. It must be a real pain not being able to drive though, I wasn't able to drive for a few months last year and was climbing the wall. The PC must be a bit of a Godsend for you, as mine is to me at least you can keep in touch with friends. Keep looking in mate, good to hear from you again.

Know where your comming from Jim & Finn. Had an accident in 2001 which left me in traction for 3 months with a damaged spine. Plays hell when your casting. Fortunatley I am still allowed to drive but sometimes it gets so bad its best not to. Its at times like those when sites like NESA are a godsend ( despite all the silly names ) No matter what you use as a name everyone on this site has showed nothing but friendship to me since I joined and I am proud to be a member of NESA.
Its still good how one comment on here can stretch a thread out into something different.
