Good fish buddy, nice catch indeed.

Fished the groyne tonite from 6.45pm till 10pm and had only one fish all nite, a codling of 1lb 8ozs on me first cast. Lost a cracking on around 2 or 3 casts later, got a cracking bite, struck, got two big lunges from the fish then everything went solid... got rig back but no hooks :casstet:. Never mind, plenty more coddies in the sea/river (around here anyways )

Same happened to me twice there yesterday. Must be a monster there with super sharp teeth.
Or the fish were just diving for the rocks
