you lot have been going on about pound for pound casters but there is only one DANNY
IT has been said he has had a 340yd when playing
WE may never see his best as there is no one out there to push him
It looks like he is just doing a nuff to win

its canny breezey down there i here.its a good venue for big distances

Danny phoned me yesterday, he said the day was cloudy with sunshine quite warm and it was not particularly windy. In fact he was quite nonchalant, knowing him as I do, congratulations to Ian Graham for his 258m, coming second on the day. By the way Danny did not mention how many cars he had lifted preparing for the event, has ,has been suggested the reason for his achievements.

quote by big dave -you lot have been going on about pound for pound casters but there is only one DANNY . when you say you lot thats a funny to say, i started the thread not knowing it had already been started on jersey casting site.everybody is well aware of how good danny is great technique combined with big build gentle giant no one has a bad word to say about him me niether. but dave you are missing the point pound for pound caster can you not remember niel kelland casting i beleve bazz might be able to correct me here as we have been casting a while now but he cast a 175 grm lead 306yds i believe at an event plus numerous other casts over 300 yds, i believe yourself cast further with 125 than the 150 i think but not sure most people are the same danny great kelland great

no doubt about it , danny is and probably will be the best caster ever, he is brilliant. but you raise the subject again of pound for pound casters. this is a totally different and valid subject, as would be best one legged -- one armed casters.
there is no weight limits of the caster in comp you turn up and cast
as saying so and so cast as far as this a that
Just look at the RECORDS and whos name holds them today.
IT allways goes this way if someone is out there on there own others have to
figger away even the playing field why not just ban him

:thumbup: right here i go all this bitching and backstabbing does nothing at all to promote our sport infact it does it more harm than good, and this i think is the reason why so many of the lads packed it in. i know it was a major factor in me giving up the sport.theres no doubt in my mind that danny is the greatest caster this era,and i think there is still a lot to come from this gentle giant so instead of making up excuses why he did this or that lets all get behind the lad and show some support for what he has achieved , if anyone has put distance casting on the map its danny and all his achievements allong with mac ,kelland, thain and the list goes on.im sure in the future somebody will come along to give danny a run for his money which can only help promote the sport we all love.so come on lads dont take it so serious enjoy your sport after all thats why we all do it.and on a final note can i just take this oppertunity to say when you get to my age you dont give a s**t anyway so youv'e all got something to look forward to, allthough saying that i never did anyway apart from the 3 times i represented my country and couldnt have been more proud lol

dave you totally miss my point. yes danny is the best, and no there is,nt a body-weight catergory in casting. i was merely trying to point out that the subject posted was ,--- to put it in simple terms, how do some little,uns compare to big,uns
in casting pound for pound. why get agitated to the extent that you think somebody is trying to knock danny, i cetainly would,nt.

hi oldchukka, i get your point straight away ,i just dont like the words you lot could be said in better words to me.i myself have never critised danny never would do and also i have never heard any body critisize danny,as my thread said pound for pound caster and as i said it is a hard thread to talk about it was a bit of a decision to put i said this earlier on ,forums are here for open talk we all are diff opions as well any arguments i just cant be bothered with i just wont bother posting no prob i dont give a s--t BUT WHAT ABOUT NIEL KELLAND 306YDS 175GRM LEAD YEARS AGO bloody good in my eyes

I Think Danny,s achievement today is simpley awesome.Everyone who knows him or have met him will agree, he,s a great chap and undoughtedly the greatest caster of all time.Andy green,Paul Kerry, Jason Wilicome , Neil Kelland and such who have crossed the 300 milestone deserve our utmost respect because of there love of the sport and hunger for success.We all live and learn.........
