Welcome to nesa m8 and plenty of good advice from the lads on this forum and i am from Sunderland myself and fished the ratty and under the wear bridge but i am an old sea dog now so like i say plenty of advice whatever you need to know just pm me and i will try to help you out and good luck to you m8.:D:D:D:D

Quick update. Decided to head out early this morning and because of the heavy rain it would be a good idea to try panns bank/under bridge so I could retreat to the comfort of the car when it got too heavy. Got down for 07.30 and first cast pulled up a very small coaly. About half an hour later same again and another small one later with plenty of crabs in between. I was using mackerel strips for bait. Not the biggest of fish but considering it was my first time out I was pretty pleased with that and more importantly really enjoyed it. Stayed out 4 hours before the rain got the better of me.

Can't wait for the next session :)

hopefully bigger fish on your next session

Went out for a couple of hours yesterday at high tide. Fished the same spot at panns bank and got decent size whitey so was well chuffed :)
Only thing is I keep losing gear on snags there
