Newbiggin/Craster yesterday

With the fishing weather not being too clever for a good few days thought I'd have a go just for the day out.
Got to Newbiggin for about 9am and walked along up to the beacons and had a couple of hours there, didn't see anything so packed in and had a run to Craster.
Got there about 1ish and fished at the South side of the village, just round the corner from the first point.
The weather was okay, decent swell but no wind to speak of, kept the line above the breaking swell and it kept me out of trouble.
I fished until around 1930 and all I saw was one bull head.
Bait used fresh yellow tails/frozen black/mussel/razor.

Craster

Craster

The only trouble I have when up at Craster is I always head straight for the castle, never stopping on route to give it a go.Heard the north island is good on the flood but like I say its the castle. Will have to turn into a rockhopper and try all these spots or were ever that takes my fancy.

Like the photos but looking at that second one your gear looks a tad to close for comfort to the wet stuff for me, one big wave and its bye bye gear.

to be honest it doesn't matter a chuff if you catch or not up there its such a pretty(does that sound a bit soppy:D) spot :red: sea looks about perfect dunnit, theres always next time
