Can't go too far wrong with Ian Golds - I use the 6ft, some like the 7. There are heavier, adjustable ones like the Shakey Salt or MTI - might be better if you don't have to lug them around too much, but for general purpose I swear by my Goldsie.

have been trying to give away 5ft,ian goulds r/r 4 last 2 weeks 90% new condition. The Mti comes into its own in extreme conditions though!
Which parts are steel Stuart? Bought mine second hand so no idea how old it is, but no rust so far?
