Just been for a walk along the North pier and as I was talking to Pye and Blanchy on the drum head Davey Bond came walking up the pier rod in hand with this fine specimen 9-35lb
Well done Davey lad Blanchy had 1 codling about 3 1/2lb
I've been fishing on and off for 55 years and that's definitely not a thornback. Any fool can see from the pattern of the spots on it's back that it is either a flounder or a plaice but it's extremely difficult to tell them apart this time of year.
