Congratulations on getting your shad article on the front page of the site.

The only downside is that people can't comment on it, so I thought I'd start this.

Brilliant article Norman, you are one determined (crazy) guy. I wish I had the patience and skill to do that, but it's ebay for me I'm afraid.

Hope you catch well on your shads, it will be all the sweeter for making them yourself.

:)

cheers gents ....

More than happy to discuss or answer any questions, hardest part of the whole process was finding information, hence it more or less all home growm ...

quality read Norman,

and well done team slinky....

i've followed the story on here and i must admit they certainly look the part

i'm willing to testdrive one or two in Hartlepool waters to see how they perform...:)

I wish i had a shed....;)

I have to say I've totally enjoyed being part of the process

Things have evolved at a fairly quick pace from the original silicone flatties - I'm waiting on some stuff in the post that will aid the design of some new shapes and I know Norman is pretty much in his iGarage every night :D

Everything is untested at the moment but I'm sure as soon as we've had first go there will be some "sharesies" about :D

That’s a great bit of R&D and front page, headline write-up team Slinky. I bet you cannot wait to give those creations a swim - and see them come back up with a cod attached :)

If shad making is like fly tying, the R&D is never finished; each time you try a new pattern you’ll come back with an idea for the next tweak or brand new design.

Not long now!
