fair windflat sea

good craic and plenty tea

arrived at jims boat about 7 am(for an 8 am sail:exclam::exclam:,to be greeted with a mug of tea,and the news that Chris(The Grinch) crewman was not present

a grand start

8am saw us off the moorings and heading out to sea not too long before we were anchored up,on a flooding tide.

over went a variety of baits and traces,"whitey" rattles started

some well sized fish,reaching 2lb in some cases:exclam::exclam:

and so it went on until slack water,no cod in sight,but some good whiting kept for the pot,some good banter going round the boat too,considering some of us had never met before

unfortunately slack water and the flood brought little change other than a try at drifting,which brought a few more whiting and one solitary codling just over size:exclam:

rightly and properly it was I who caught it

once again a decent day at sea, at pocket money prices

an last minute unplanned trip for me,im glad i went

next door is happy to with a few fash:exclam::exclam::exclam:
