lingking

Well-known member
left port at 07 20 with 10 anglers.
once clear of the navigation channel, jim kept going heading into the sun:D

ahh soo:exclam: to the east it was time to sit and cool our heels for about 1.5 hrs.

it soon passed with talk of rigs places we had fished before etc etc.

and so it was that the ten anglers cast their lines into water which was nice and clear, little wind and not a lot of drift, despite a biggish tide.

fishing was never frantic, but the pace hotted up in the afternoon, with fish appearing in short spells, some times coming over the side two at a time, when we were "on"them

we drifted over whiting city, and our stripey friends were ever with us:)

what went in the boxes today:question: pollack those stripey things--cod and ling

what caught them :question:rippers hokkis daylights squid and mackarel baits.

heaviest fish was a ling just under 9lbs,which put 20 quid in my pocket:D,as it was mine.

of todays 10 anglers 5 were novices, pretty sure all had fish to take home.

so ends another fine day

cheers jim,and stevie

Nice one Dunc, 1.5 hrs steam, must have been fairly well off today

Nice report mate

Norm

its an 8knott plodder norman, about 12/13 from port but not that far from terra firma, when fishing:)

"east" is a bit peculiar from hartlepool, because of the way the coastline lies:confused:
