Northumberland roads

Thinking about having a run across tomorrow Craster pier is a possibility...Can anyone tell me what the roads are like that way off the A1?
Cheers

I don't know what the little roads are like up that way but the A1 was on the news on and off yesterday saying that conditions were atrocious with black ice every where. If there is the same amount of snow there as we have in Durham then there wouldn't be a chance of me driving there just from here mate.

Jim.

Stay at home m8 i live in Northumberland and the roads are bad, think the roads around Craster way will be bad.

Very bad at Shilbottle and Alnwick so Craster will probs be bad and loads of snow forecast for tomorrow afternoon with strong winds causing big drifts.

North Northumberland is bad with around 2' of snow in a lot of places.
South East Northumberland has between 3" - 1' of snow.

Loads more forecast for tonight & tomorrow, with strong winds also.

Myself and a couple of lads were also thinking of goin to craster tommorow but changed our minds due to the weather .Theres some winding roads and some canny hills to contend with think it'll be a mare.

Ive been on nightshift this past week covering the coast and the number of cars going off into the dyke unbelievable . You could be a safe and good driver but what about the knacker coming the other way . Stay over the west and come over after the weather has broken and enjoy your trip with no grief.

Back at work tomorrow ,it looks like it'll freeze over again tonight to I'll no doubt be fishtailing down the A1 and the 1231 .

I thought my new car might have been better in the white stuff ......wrong :(.
