the 2nd northumbrian shore contest will take place on sun 9th october 20005.fishing from 11-30am till 3-30pm.
1st prize for heaviest bag guaranteed £1000.
2nd heavieat bag guaranteed £350.
heaviest fish guaranteed £500.
boundries from craster in the north to seaton sluice pier in the south.
penn sea league registered match.prize table approx £4000.
entry adults £10 includes heaviest fish.
ladies and juniors£5 sweeps optional.
doubles £2 optional 100% payout
superpool £1 ( optional) 100% payout
registar at tackle shops the week before or on the day at the bank house club newbiggin.
last year the turn out was 475 anglers and their was 6 other opens on the same day.there are no other opens on this time as far as we are aware.contact details are as follows:brian hurrell club secretary.07766248699

please remember to check the rules as these are not the same as the other open event that are held.
 
what do you mean get wrong?
cant see a problem with the post health and safety covered and all that.
the thing is its all the truth no lies about it what you see is what you can expect on the day and a blody good one at that.
you only live once i say we should all give it a try no offence intended mind.we can always rely on the magna carta cant we?
 
oh did i tell you theres an excerllent raffle on the day.lets just say its worth coming back even if you havent caught owt.if you have then you can be expected to walk of with a great prize worth more than it cost you to enter.dont say i didnt tell you.oh and just like last year tyne tees television will be owt and about then back at the bankhouse for the weigh inn and presentation.i dont no if any of the lads that organised this open are members but well done to them for this.looks like this will be one of the largest open around,hope i do well wouldnt mind winning the lot couple of grand in the hip pocket for doing something i like.

just thought i would keep the thread going for the lads in the club,they diserve it they have put a lot of time and effort in.wish them and the club all the best.
 
sorry but forgot to ask.
what are your views on opens.what do you like disalike.what do you look for in a good open?prize money?or good prize table?what about the time early morning or late afternoon,interested to see the responce.
 
Brian don\'t worry about this thread. It was well written from the beggining and I am sure you have noticed how many people have read it.
As Alan has allready said it was a cracking comp last year and few of us on here have any reason to doubt it will be any different this year.
PLEASE continue to keep posting on here as I have no doubt that you will become a valued member of NESA, if you wish to do so.

I like an open to be held in the morning so you can go and have a few beers in the afternoon after the weigh in ..make a day of it..as for prizes I like to see a good mix of both ..tho a good prize table keeps the interest there even if you haven\'t done that well.
 
i have it on good report?they have just had meeting tonight.its worth your while going back even if you dont catch owt,tv cameras should be out and about again this year,dont no where but assured they will be out and then back at the weigh inn and presentation.this open has got to be one of the top opens around( even if this is only the second)
they have said they want everyone to walk awy happy,thats why the promise to be better every year.i personaly dont no how they can better last year as this was awsome,prize table out of this world and prize money second to none.wonder whats on offer next year?
