both me and my brother have been keen fisherman since childhood but have never went any further than northumberland. we kept hearing so much about Oban and it's fishing reports, so we arranged to hire a van and head up for the week end. The van loaded and a 6 hour journey later, we arrive. found a nice camp site to pitch the tents (sea view tel: 01631720360) it is fitted with a shower so after a good days fishing its just whats needed.
once the tent's were up, off we went, within 2 minutes, 2 dog fish on a penel rig loaded with sand eel.

after that, it was just one after the other for around 2 hours.
we went off for some food before getting ready for the night time fishing. what a night that turned out to be, at first a little slack but after an hour that was it, one after another again, this time spur dog and thorne backs. my son won had the 5 best fish of the night, all 5 weighed between 8lb and 10lb.

we have arranged for another trip there as it was such a beautiful place.
remember, take all rubbish away with you as scotland is such a senic place
