Just got back myself from scotland . I hope you got the same weather we did it was excellent. Seems like it was the place to be for the last few days.

Oh yes ...and we caught a few fish.... 13 to be exact for 1197 lb ......result!

Some of the best fishing and weather we have had up there.

Them's some serious mackerel

Mackrel wre a sore point . It took us four hours to catch 18 of them on thursday. Not anything like enough so we were carefull and recycled em . We got 5 skate for 6 mackrel used .

Thurs pm we tried again for an hour ...none and friday am none again. So we set out with about 11 mackrel left and used them sparingly to say the least. We finished with 3 skate and about 6 mackrel left...which were humming that well we could have started a choir.

Sat am about 1/2 hour mackreling got us about twenty so our extravagance knew no bounds ...two per hook and we finished the day with another 5 skate despite an early finish to catch the tide on the slipway by 3 pm.

A weekend to remember to say the least! A full report will be put up by snatcher on the AN site and probabky linked back here. I will also post on the boat forum to see if anyone fancies making a weekend away up there.
