would any of you windoze users that might have me in your email address book check you computer for viruses.

someone somewhere has, and that machine has been sending out spam with the sender address spoofed as if its from me for about 48 hours now, getting around 300 an hour bouncing back to me and the novelty has worn off completely

Its quite possible that you have got a trojan, it's stole your password for your email account and is using it to send emails from your account. Try changing your password and see if it stops

hardly - I use a mac. there hasn't been a recognised and confirmed mac os email trojan in the wild since 1997!

I did as a matter of course change it anyway, and even with everything on the network turned off it persists. starting to slow down a little now thank feck, trojans like this usually move on after a few days and uses some other poor sods address

how it has affected my business remains to be seen

got my broadband cut of by sky for the same reason 2 years back ,ended up having to ghost me pc and an engineers report befor they would reconect me.our lass says it was from porn sites but iv never been on ,no matter how many safeguards you have yoiu can always get trojens/virises.
