Wanted Old fixed spools or cheap rods

Hi Guys

I know this may be a long shot but as most of you are aware I run a project where we teach young people to fish, about the environment, conservation etc. As you can imagine I go through quite a lot of equipment and also get many requests off young people who don't have money for rods and reels but I'd still like to see them get out fishing. If any of you have any old rods or fixed spools taking up room in your sheds they will go to a very good home. You can contact me on 07940251059. Darren, I know this is slightly off topic, but I've just dug out a box full of old sea angling books and videos (Liam Dale / Tony Kirrage / Phil Hyde ones) if they are any use to you? They have been in the cupboard for years so I'm not sure whether or not the videos will be OK, but otherwise they are just going in the bin mate.

got a 12ft rod you can have mate its a bit soft but probs be ok for someone to learn with off to the mull now back on monday

That would be excellent Guy. Soft rod would be perfect for them fishing the rivers. The young'uns I work with vary in experience as some will fish the rocks but most will fish rivers/peirs. Hope you done well at the Mull and just pm me with details on how to collect. Cheers bud
