Old Rods

Has anyone got an old rod or two lying about that they\'ve forgotten about?

Many moons ago, I bought myself a brand new Zipplex pro-am match. It was a cracking rod, but found out that it was a bit too light for rock marks etc, so it got left in the loft when I got a Nemesis plus then an Apollo

I\'ve had it out about twice in the past 2 years and decided to take it out on Sunday for our match.

I\'d forgot what a joy it is to use, absolutely fantastic fishing rod, light, comfortable and casts like a dream.

Needless to say, its going to be used a lot more now, especially as my apollo is going to get stripped down and re-done.

Davy, who does your refinishing or do you do it yourself?

Have a couple of old rods that need a tidy (new shrinkwrap rewhip & revarnish) and was just wondering how much it costs?

Cheers, Rob.

Cheers Davy / Rich. I know Julian Shambrook advertises refinishes in Sea Angler from £60 but wasn\'t sure who did them locally. Might give Terry a bell though, not a big fan of the other place.

i was in id south shields a lad came in with a ttr for a rewip he was charged either £45 or £65 wen it came back it was spot on but the rod was full of scratches still it had only new eyes wiped on
