Ha ha get in. You'll find most good fish come from low water normally from rock marks up ere mate. Hell of I difference to fishing the mersey for me lol

You lucky man David ive met king kenny but I woulda loved to meet shankley. A true legend to all reds, and yes I could hardly understand a word kenny said either but I was only a bairn at the time it was when he was wearing that legendary number 7 at the time. Remember it like it was yesterday. May I ask how you were so lucky to play at anfield mate.

Newcstle Boys u15's v Liverpool u15's 1969- semi final of the Gillette Schools Cup - remember it well 'cos I didn't need to shave for yonks afterwards but got loads of shaving stuff anyway. In our team was Dennis Leman, who went to Man City, Mick Ferguson- centre forward who had a beard at 15 and went on to play at Coventry, Harry Falconer who signed for Burnley.

Anfield was tremendous - there were about 10,000 there , all piled into the Kop + the dignitaries in the main stand. Shankley came in after the match (we lost 2-1) and said we were the better footballing team but they were bigger and stronger than us and, in the end, ran the legs off us.

I've tried to find a copy of the program of the night. Liverpool went on to win the cup, I believe, but I've never managed to track one down. Kids at school think I'm some sort of mystical figure. Have paper records from Newcastle but nothing from Liverpool. Would be nice to get it confirmed.

wish I was good enough to play for my team at schoolboy level. I was lucky enough to play for my county and have trials for England schoolboys with rugby but dislocated my elbow during trials and that was the end of that ha ha . I know a few lads back home who are well into the programme collecting so ill give em a ring over the next few days David an see if they can dig anythinug up mate. Hope they can like :) I was always crap at footy still am but was like lightning on the wing with a rugger ball. Im only 36 but them were the days ha ha sound about 86 lol
