OUT TONIGHT........BUT WHY?

i never go long without getting out fishing but have to admit sometimes the urge to get out there is a lot stronger than others. even if i go through a lacklustre spell i still feel compelled to get out there on a quite regular basis even if the fishing is not at its best, its as if its something i \"must\" do.
when i go through an \"enthusiastic\" period (often lasting several weeks or even months) i allow nothing and nobody to come between me and my fishing, one day it\'ll probably cost me my marriage (although i\'ll probably never be that lucky)

Tony I think its nerves

Next month 26 Feb

Getting close, getting worried

dont be shy its January, the transfer window is open

your probably not the only one thinking about it

you know it makes sense

Must admit that me and our kid have done pretty well this season (since the 1st October) but in previous years, when I fished alone, I\'ve seen myself sitting gazing at the sea and the stars when I should have been baiting up and fishing.

The isolation and silence does it for me, whether or not I\'m catching, priceless.

Nope.....it wasn\'t the fact that I wasn\'t catching anything......as I said, I was having quite a good night catchwise.....well....by my standards....lol......and in the past I\'ve had countless blank sessions which I still thoroughly enjoyed. Dunno what it was, mebbies just had \"other things\" on my mind and wasn\'t really in the mood for fishin\'. Also, as I said, it was a total spur of the moment thing - I guess I didn\'t have the bulid up of anticipation.....lol. Mind you - sometimes the \"spur of the moment\" thing is great.....just wasn\'t to be on that ocassion.

As for selling my soul to the badlands of the North........I might just do that..........only to jinx the North team, though.....hahahaha......even the lads on The Boys get well below par catches when I\'ve been out with them !!

Tony, imagine having come back from Eyemouth 2005 prematurely because of the weather, having looked forward to it all year, to then come back over half term, to find it flat as a fart, to fish over xmas commiting yourself to a long weekend but with no sleep ( I know mam I did come to see you but you do understand don\'t you) to looking forward to the North v South comp which will finish at God knows what time followed by a 200 mile trip down the M1 to teach the next day and all the time looking at the web cams and thinking.......

if I lived in Cullercoats I wouldn\'t fish tonight.....or tonight.....or tonight.........but yes tonight \'cos conditions are right tonight.

I love standing on the rock ends knowing I\'m not going to catch \'owt simply because I can only fish when I can. Perhaps we need to fish together as a mutual catch nowt cooperative lol
