Painted up some Norwegian pirks in the various colours, as suggested by people in my previous post, and decided to go and try a few out Friday afternoon.
Stayed close in and changed pirk on each drift - this was not scientific but it was fun!
Black nothing
White nothing
Orange only - nothing. Interestingly Richie could not catch a thing until he put the orange pirk on - the pirk didn't catch but it seemed to bring fish onto his lures
Silver couple of coaley
Silver with orange spots - 2 cod, couple of codling and coaley
Orange/red - nothing (but again seemed to help the lures)
Shop bought orange/ red 1 codling
Will let you know if deeper water results differ
