pb shore mission

Well lads in 24 hours I shall be on q plane heading for norway on mission to catch a shore pb cod and hopefully a nice halibut I'm taking 10 kilo of bluey 100 blacks and some 5 kilo of herring if I not beat my pb of 7lb I shall have atleast one of my rods for sale lol I will do report when I return

Do they not supply bait over there ? Seems a lot of extra weight to carry.

It is possible but when you get there you might be gutted at the bait so safer to take own besides it only cost 25 quid for extra 20kilo bag and I can bring 15 kilo of fish back with iz plus I'm a big lad so weight is nothin lol in total I will be takin 63 kilo of gear

The bluey you get over in Norway will be in slabs and won't have been slightly defrosted in anyway therefore in better condition I should think.

Just our of interest kingcod, I have always wondered if the lads heading out there bring any of there fish back with them? You say 15 Kg, how do your store it for transport?? Cheers!

Pop the fish fillets into freezer bags for a couple of days over there, so its frozen solid, bring it back in a cool bag/box with a few ice packs
