Pendulum first time

Hi lads,ive been fishing for about 25 years and have never tried to pendulum,always wanted to but didnt have the bottle lol!anyways have been having a bit of a dabble with it and getting,rite into it would guess im hitting about anywhere between 140yds and 180 i think.Im using a rod i normally use for the river and beach its the Anyfish Anywhere six n bait rod with an abu elite and a 7ht.I use this rod cos i know the action is quite soft compared to my other rod greys apollo mk1 bit too stiff for pendulum beginner.What i wanna know is can anyone recommend a rod i may be able to advance in distance with for the future and what type of reels should i look out for thanks in advance lads cheers!

Get yourself along to a casting comp. you will get all the tuition you need. NESA is on tommorrow just outside Redcar.

Ps your rod and reels are capable of casts at least 220yds i would think, so stick with them until your consistently over 180 yds.

Your reels are perfect for distance especially the ABU.

All they probably need for more distance is a good old tune.
