Well lads the mag did not sell on e-bay.
Thought ok lets give it another go. Took off the 18lb line and loaded reel with some 30lb mono i had spare.
Went down to Allensford this aftey and did some practice casting when it was quiet.
Not one raffle and reel perfomed superbly.
The reel actually emptied its line and i paced out 116 steps. Couple walking dogs watched me and could not believe distance.
Had about 20 casts and packed up thining i will buy some 25lb line.
On checking the reel i did find something really disturbing. I could see a hairline fracture near the adjuster knob and ratchet.
When i got home i dismantled and examined. Doesn,t look good. Just as well it did not sell on e-bay.I,ll ring the shop tomorrow.
