Pig Hunting 03/01/09

3 of us went out for a few hours pig hunting last night at a rock mark I have not fished for some years. About 5 chucks in Greeny (Tiddler) had a bite and duly struck into it. I wasn't convinced that it was a fish as I climbed down the rocks, whatever it was it stayed deep. Sure enough a cod popped its head out of the water, and I lifted it up the side for him. 6lb 14oz!!

Wally missed a cracking bite later that was probably another really good fish, I had a couple of knocks but unfortunately a blank was all Wally and myself could manage. Always next time......and well done Greeny on a new P.B.

Sean - i hope you informed Codonly ,that you were fishing the Black Path - as i know it is also one of his favorite marks - tackle grave yard ,but i have seen him pull some big fish of this shot

not this season bri,never had a bite in 15 outings.
just got me hands on some fresh crab off a mate so im looking forward 2 the anthony jackson memorial trophy tomorrow night.

fished it last night, bit heavy though,caught nowt.
could'nt believe the amount of rubbish left by anglers,sweet papers, crisp packets,empty 5/0 sakuma hook packets carrier bags etc.DISGRACEFUL

We had the pleasure of umpteen bait packets to keep us company Steve, also a carrier full of rotting rag and about 4 miles of excess line that I fell over twice lol. Why don't people clean up after themselves??
