Heard rag tipped with mackerel dipped in marmite works.... never bothered to try though lol... myths and all that.. saying that WD40 has its moments ;-)

few years ago sea angler had a article bout catching plaice off beach in front of the car park at mioddens at north shields, but s/ shields pier 1st gate area , 44,,, 45 and end of the pier has been producing plaice recently

Try the caravan beach along from lynemouth a think its cresswell was up there a few weeks ago and was catching flounders and the odd plaice but when we fished it last year we had lots of plaice to about 2lb
Crab ragged tipped with macky and yellowtails the bait

The pipe on rocky Island , decent chuck puts you amongst the mussel beds. I've had some really nice plaice from here over many years.

where about is rocky island mate heard the name of the mark before but dont no where it is and thanks for you help lads

It's the back of the Kings Head Seaton Sluice , you'll sees the pipe running north-easterly from the gut. We use to fish for them close in with boat as well over high water. Whitley pipe used to be good as well off the end and to the left.
