Chris you will just have to move up the coast m8,if you can\'t afford a new hoose just pitch your tent at Dunstanbough Castle for the summer.

Chris, there\'s a lad gets down shields pier who spins a small blue or yellow eel over the top of the blocks and he seems to do well catching pollack. I\'ve had them off most of the rock marks at marsden during the summer (not huge fish but fish all the same!) Maybe somewhere closer to home for you to try??

Thats right Kenny,here it is...

Chris, thats South Shields pier mate. Head into South Shields (from Durham thats A19 then A194) heading for the coast and you can\'t miss it. Parking at the bottom of the pier (£1.20 all day). The gates open at about 8:30am but you can easily climb around them on the sea side of the pier (my 7 year old manages no problems) Bit of a walk to the top. The Blocks are self explanatory - huge blocks of concrete on the sea side of the pier just before the end. Fish 3 hours up and 1 hr down spinning a small 115mm blue or yellow eel along the bottom (take some Royd daylites for the mackerel - I killed with them last week!)

Suprised as owt this afternoon. bit to lumpy to go too far out so we wandered around about 3 or 400 yds out from roker pier. Caught 5 pollack between the 2 of us. All around the pound mark, 2 of them came on 1 drop. All safely returned for another day
