PORT PATRICK

Going over to the SW of Scotland on Sunday evening. My plan is to fish Portpatrick on Monday for early plaice. Can anyone give me any advise on tactics to use and any other information which might be helpful. I have never fished here before but I notice Port patrick is west facing, so if the wind direction is too strong from a westerly direction, then I might consider moving somewhere else if any one can point me in the right direction to find some shelter. In fact any advise on this area will be greatly appreciated.
I will let you know how succesful, or unsuccesful I was.........

its been blowing hard westerly all week on the english side of the solway mate so youre probably going to have to look for shelter somewhere.
