Anyone fished stillwaters over there for Trout at all? Having a week there in June but like to mix the fishing up with shore and Loch/Resevoir.

It's mainly stocked rainbow bashing with a few brownies mixed in the reservoirs just now
If you head to the sport shop in stranraer you can get most day tickets etc for all nearby lochs,
A lot of the lochs I fished as a boy are now turning into more coarse based fisheries and there are some monster pike available now,
But if you go see Eric In local tackle shop he will keep you right.

I fished Dunskey Loch a few yrs ago, we caught three rainbows, allfought as hard as whelks. No tails at all.
