QE2 - Any Advice Welcome

I have been fishing the QE2 quite alot lately, I'm fairly new to course fishing although I have done alot of pike fishing. I have been catching alot of small roach and perch mainly on maggots and one or two larger perch up to around 1/2 lb. All my fishing so far has been float at varing depths (dosnt seem to matter too much for the smaller fish). I am setting up to try for carp using pop up bolie in PVA bag tomorrow night. Apart from that could anyone give me any tips for the QE2 for larger fish such as bream or tench for example and I was told carp were impossible at QE2 during the day - is this right?

Hi,you do get the odd runs from carp during the day,just before dark and just before light but its manly at night when it picks up,but like i said in another post you must be a member of WACAC to fish it at night,not day tickets.
What ever popups your using for carp,bream will happily take,halibut being the best for both species i think,or them stinky crab or squid flavours,or just get some large halibut pellets and hair rig them.
If your just there for the day,try just infront of the hotel near the yellow bouys,but dont fish past the bouys in the corner its a conservation area for birds,fish etc.....(to the right of the bouys).
People have been doing well from the bankside there for carp during the day.
Also get there early morning as there is bound to be someone fishing that spot.

Thanks for the reply Vamp, I will give that a go. I have been down a couple of times since my post but to no avail - still catching loads of small Perch and Roach though. I will keep tryin till i get one!
